Coming up... On Sunday February 24th, as part of the Birds of Winter Festival in Skagit County, is the Edison Chicken Parade! My crows and paintings will be up at the Hadrian Gallery in Edison, until 2pm that day. The crows and a few of my paintings are hanging there. Stop by!
About Gene Jaress As a 50 year working artist, I currently paint and also make woodblock prints, influenced by the light and atmospheric conditions created by the Salish Sea, Skagit Valley and Mount Cultus looming to the east. |
I am embarking on a series of woodblock prints and etchings. The above artist's print was a collaboration using Gary Giovane's design. I carved 5 blocks for this print. There will be a limited edition run of 25 prints.
Giclée Prints Available Giclée prints are high resolution digital prints using a special ink-jet printer with pigment based inks on archival quality paper or on canvas. I have scanned several of my paintings and reproduced them in a giclée format. This makes them more affordable. They are matted and framed and run $225 and up, depending on size and whether printed on paper or canvas. Contact me if you are interested in purchasing one. I built this walnut chase for the press. The blocks inside are adaptable for placement depending on the size and shape of the block.
